夕焼けてカラスカアカア鳴きゆけり
in the sunset ;
a crow is fiying with a caw-caw
夕焼けて淀川の上大み空
watching the saunset;
the heavens above the Yodo River
家に帰り着き、振り返って西の空を見ると、遠く夕焼けの空が広がるのです。淀川の上の広がりがその尽きるところかと。

繭を手にシルクロードの壮大さ
cocoons in my hand;
the magnificence of the Silk Road
老人の手の皺繭を集める手
wrinkles on an old man's hands;
gathering cocoons with the hands

escape the summer heat
避暑といふどこへと聞かず羨めり
being envious of their saying to escape the summer heat;
not hearing about where to go
これもまた避暑であらふか映画館
in a movie theater;
Can I say here is a resort to escape the summer heat?

美しくただ坐してをり砂日傘
beach paresol;
a lady just sitting in graceful beauty
砂日傘海染めゆける夕茜
beach paresol;
the sea is about to turn crimson with the sunset

sweat
顔に汗吹き出て掃除する日かな
the day of house cleaning;
breaking out in sweat on my face
汗しとど体重計に乗ってみる
sweating heavily;
trying to step on the scale

蝙蝠
bat
蝙蝠や黄昏時の見え隠れ
flying bats in the dusk;
coming into the sight and then disappearing
蝙蝠の住み着く家となりにけり
vacant house;
bats have settled in it

サヌカイト叩き涼しき調かな 十河智
tapping sanukite stones;
a clear tune of coolness Tomoko Sogo
今日、讃岐石を題材にした俳句を目にした。懐かしかった。
香川県に五色台という遠足に行く山がある。崇徳上皇の御陵や、野外活動センター、四国八十八ヶ所の札所のお寺、展望台などがあり、またサヌカイトが表面に出てきていてごろごろしていて私が子供の頃は拾える山であった。調律して楽器にすることもあるくらい、澄んだ綺麗な音がする。カンカン石を見つけたと言って、打ち合って音を楽しんだ。
